Happy first day of Spring, friends! Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. I love to see the days get longer, the first blooms in our garden begin to pop out of the ground, and I start to feel the weight of the dark winter season lift off of me. I even think Spring cleaning is fun! There’s something that feels good in the soul to clean, organize, and decorate your home for the new season.
This year I’ve incorporated some new and old items into my Spring decor. I wanted to keep it light and a little minimalistic, without feeling like things were too empty.
I like to think of my decorating style as a modern farmhouse type of style. It’s definitely a style that is evolving every year! I’m currently loving light-colored wood tones, natural textures, and light-colored decor. Generally, any type of decor that can be easily mixed and matched with any season is good in my book!

This mantel next to my desk is one of my favorite areas to decorate. This room gets a lot of natural light which makes the space feel big, bright, and pretty! I wanted to keep things fairly minimal this year, so these lanterns with the greenery and this super cute “Welcome Spring” sign from Walmart fit perfectly!
A few years ago, I went on a hunt for pinecones at our neighborhood park and found some nicely shaped ones that I use for an instant rustic/woodsy feel. I currently have them in the lanterns and vases as a fun filler!
Faux plants are my thing! I’ve tried my best to have actual live plants in my house, but I know my limits. I simply cannot keep them alive. I usually start bringing my greenery out after Christmas because I love the pops of green throughout the house!
My daughter picked these roses out the other day and even though they aren’t actually a Spring flowers, they’re so pretty that we had to incorporate them in somehow! I think light-colored peonies or hydrangeas would be another gorgeous option!
Tiered trays are so much fun to decorate, don’t you think? I kept mine minimal this time around, but I love filling it up during the Fall and Christmas season! The tiered tray is from Hobby Lobby and it’s one of my favorite things in my kitchen.
Maybe I’ve gone too far, but I think the bathroom should be nicely decorated as well! This is our half bathroom on the main level of our home. So I wanted to make sure that it had a little spring decor love as well since guests use this one when they visit.
Back in 2020 when we were all at home looking for projects to do, I decided that this bathroom needed a bit of a makeover. It wasn’t extreme, but adding these floating shelves really added some much-needed character to this room.
I found the “Please Seat Yourself” sign on Etsy and I think it’s hilarious! The Etsy shop that I purchased mine from doesn’t sell signs anymore, but I’ve found similar signs at NestedDecor that are just as good!

One of my favorite things that I have incorporated into our living space is this light-up tree! We use it as a source of light in the evenings or mornings before the sun comes up, and it gives off just the right amount of light. This tree actually comes bare and without leaves. I added vines of leaves to it for the first time and I love how it turned out! I also have the Fall themed tree that will replace this one in September!
Here’s an example of what the light-up tree looks like without the vines of leaves on it! So pretty, right?
Our entryway shelf is so much fun to decorate, although I have to be selective on what goes on there due to the 12-foot basketball goal next to it! Ha!
We live in Colorado, so I have to incorporate a little mountain inspiration into the mix! I love these handmade wooden mountains from JDMWoodCreations on Etsy. They work well no matter what season we’re in!
